Invasions was a personal favorite, but I can find some solid likes from the others. The mods are very heritor/forgotten centric and you will likely not find much use for the majority of them.Īll the DLCs at least 1 or 2 things that I feel are solid additions. I usually dont find a reason to field him unless I need some tasty bait to soak up some hits. And he is still "stronk" but without the battle-wide clap on-clap off. Their tier 4 Eater of the Dead used to be an absolute monster. The Serpion (snakes) were "okay" but nothing you'll want to fill a front line with. The golems can be useful with their decently ranged attack. They can be useful at times but are rarely my first go-to. The Forgotten, I think, was in the heritor dlc and are competent mechanical units with a niche damage channel. Their mods leave alot to be desired and I rarely use them. Their tier 4 unit can be a mean little bastard. The sniper's healing shot is a nice add to biological armies and sketchy squirrel has a nice aoe heal acorn (but can also be modded into a psychotic grenade throwing shock trooper). They have some solid units that can fill some gaps in your line up. Off the top of my head, I forget which DLC added the furries. The invasion mechanic/gameplay is nice to experience once or twice (maybe for achi hunters), but not something I usually play with regularly. Invasions was the best, most well-rounded DLC add I think. It can be a jarring experience the first time you face it, but feels great when you're dishing it out. Precognition requires you to rethink how you approach and tackle combat. Although, I will say their units and mechanics are one of the stronger ones ingame. The anomaly sites are the best feature (my opinion) from that DLC.
